There will be a Potato Day at Doulting Village Hall on Saturday, 9th February. Last year they had a good selection of seed potatoes for sale including the blight resistant sarpos.

Potato Day 2009

Somerset Potato Day for 2009 will be on February 7th at a new venue - Pylle Village Hall - just off the A37 it will be signed from Shepton Mallet towards Yeovil.
There will be 85 plus varieties of potato on sale by the tuber - useful if you only have a small garden or want to gro in tubs.
There is ample parking and better catering arrangements so we hope to provide tasting samples of potatoes together with lunches.
A seed swap will also take place for gardeners with surplus home collected or commercial seeds to swap for other types.

Ratte Potatoes grown in a BucketRatte Potatoes grown in a BucketPotato Day: Saturday 9 Feb at Doulting School Community Hall. Some of us went last year and it was fun. Also very useful cus you can buy by the tuber and try out a much greater number of varieties. Especially useful if you are growing in tubs (like me). I had no trouble this way with blight last year (though I did lose all my tomatoes).
