Food Frome are running the cafe at Rook Lane Retro Fair this Saturday.

We shall be serving soups

Thick parsnip and apple made with butter
Clear vegetable soup for vegans

Both served with Tim’s home made bread

Lentil Pate (V)
Creamy Bean Dip (V)
With oat cakes (V)

Savoury Scones with home made chutney
Cheese Straws
Pear Conde

All kinds of Retro Cakes including:
Fruit Tea Bread, Battenburg, Swiss Roll, Chocolate Cake (recipe of Lady Clark of Tillypronie), Victoria Sandwich, Flapjacks, Orange Sandwich, Coffee Cake

Ingredients have been bought locally to support the local shops where traditional foods and methods of food production are valued and promoted.
Ingredients bought mainly from:
Frome Wholefood, Sagebury Cheese Frome, and Wessex Organics

Sunday 20^th February: 10am to 2pm. Potato Day and Seed Swap at the Cheese and Grain. Bring seeds to swap if you have any. Stock up on plants, heritage seeds, potatoes, onion sets etc for the growing season.
