Millennium Green apple orchard
Sunday 17 January 2010 – Old Twelfth Night
Winter clearing pruning and wassailing
11-3, bring stout footwear, old saucepans (see below) and warm clothing, not suitable for young children because very rough underfoot, bring tools of you have them – there will be some to share. Meet 11am in car-park at top of North Parade.
Refreshments at 1pm and a mini-wassail with cider bowl, burnt toast and ribbons for trees to encourage good spirits, and possibly old saucepans to bang to scare away the evil spirits!
We can clear and burn and wassail even if weather is cold, but not prune. If you're in any doubt about the weather, then phone John Payne (464634) or Sue Bucklow (474532 ) between 9 and 10am on morning of the 17th.
